Oct. 1--like summer

Our neighborhood featured an outdoor fashion show for its 9 clothing boutiques that create their own fashion line. It was fun to watch because all the locals participated.

Even kids.

A guy sitting beside me frequently asked some of the women to stop and do a turn in front of him. I learned afterwards that he was the director of a haute couture --fashion design--school in Paris.

Given the summer-like temperatures, we indulged in one last trip to the ice-cream stand. Luc had his favorite: lemon and melon sorbet; Isabelle, raspberry and chocolate.

A new grocer (very small) opened on our street, just next to the entrance of our building. It features local products not commonly found at the market or in the grocery store. To celebrate their opening, they were preparing a spread of all the products sold in their store.
