Postal Service

This is the symbol of the French postal system.

You can also have a bank account with the post office. This makes the post office a busy place and you often end up waiting in long and slow line.

Postal boxes are either attached to a wall (and good objects of graffiti),

or stand interdependently on the street. A couple of weeks an elderly woman looked at the mailbox and asked Otto, who was near by, if it worked.

An older version.

Mail gets delivered 6 days a week by facteurs-postal workers-on bike. Notice that the front of the bike has 2 extra wheels to support the carrier on the front. The postal workers do not deliver any junk mail. Other people, not on bikes, do that.
