With Otto's birthday coming up this week, I was looking at different possibilities--macaroons?
We settled on individual pastries. Yes, we like chocolate. Otto and I had the same, but the kids all had different ones and no one was disappointed.
Then our main course was a regional specialty--ravioles (postage stamp size pasta filled with herbs and cheese), which I prepared with smoked salmon, thin slices of zucchini, some cream and cheese.
The kids gave Otto a special edition book on the cartoon characters in Tintin. This coincides with a movie coming out at the end of the month based on a couple of the Tintin books.
